red … the color of a vibrant life
What is the Cedar Rapids Go Red for Women Luncheon? It is one of the premier, sold-out women's events held annually in the Linn County/Eastern Iowa area focusing on women's cardiovascular health. It is an event attended by over 500 of Eastern Iowa's most influential women, and men, in business, industry, health, education and civic affairs.
It is a weekday, daytime luncheon affair that is a day of inspiration and networking, and an opportunity for women to receive resources, life-changing information and hope to prevent or survive the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women - heart disease and stroke. It is the cornerstone of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement - the movement changing the lives of women in this county.
