Heidi grew up in Hawkeye, Iowa. She attended Clarke University in Dubuque and graduated with a degree in business. She met her husband, Casey, in 2003 and moved to Marion the following year. Heidi worked for 10 years in Cedar Rapids at Ray and Associates, a firm which specializes in educational executive leadership searches. In October of 2014 Heidi opened up a women's clothing boutique in Marion called Lillians. Present day Heidi stays busy with her two girls Kyra (9) and Kaylene (4), running her business, is co-chair of the Uptown Marion Retail Promotion Committee, volunteer coach in the spring and fall for a non-profit group called Girls on the Run at her daughter's school and enjoys running and reading.
